What? A rustic-style flat in the middle of Barcelona? Yes, it’s possible. Doing up this classical flat in the Eixample district was an exciting challenge. The two levels were a problem that guided us into using the daytime space to create more areas for relaxing while the lower parts were used for storage. We tried to maximise on the space’s innate charms, making the most of the high ceilings, exposing the brick walls and keeping the original floor tiles. This Modernista gem was crying out to be preserved!
